So, I guess that in heaven there is no death, no separation from people we love. In heaven, there is no sickness that could lead to disability or death. In heaven, there are no tears that result from disappointment. In heaven, there is no poverty, lack, or hunger. In heaven, there is no division or schism. Maybe best of all, there is no sin in heaven.
What's so important about all of this? Jesus taught his disciples to pray this prayer: "Let your kingdom come! Let your will be done on the earth-just like it is done in heaven."
This is my utmost dream. Heaven on earth! Literally. Really. Vraiment!
What do you think?

When I think about Heaven, I think about Jesus and the people I miss who have gone on like my son, my Dad, my Grandma, Stephanie and Brenda. My mind can't begin to understand what it will be like.
I think the reason I like Christmas so much is because everyone seems to be just a little nicer. Everyone seems to be a little more willing to help. I think the Kingdom of God is supposed to be like that every day. I think we are supposed to be kinder, more loving and giving every day. If we claim to love Jesus, we should always be willing servants. Not just when we feel like it. I think when we get to the point when we treat others more important than ourselves and give, we will see the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth.
The Bible does say, "ON EARTH as it is in heaven".
This is actually one of the things that God and I have been discussing over the last, almost, 2years. Since I became homebound most of the time, I have come to think alot about heaven. There are days I cry out to God to just take me home. There is nothing or nobody on this earth more important than Him and I want to be with Jesus. No more sin is right. No more tears, hurts, pain, seperation, lonliness. Yet, when we are in times of struggle, we can have heaven on earth. It is all in the way we choose to think and what we confess and dwell on. I have found that to be the case in my life. No matter how bad the day is or what I am facing or the circumstances at the moment, if my total focus is on Jesus, there is peace, joy, rest. It is when I look to the situation around me that I began to get depressed, nervous, anxious, etc. and the pain gets worse.
Over the past couple years, I have come to know Jesus in a whole new way. I have found that He is the One who will never fail and is always there. He is the One who will take you through the hard times. He is the One that loves us when we are unlovable. He is the Only One that matters. So many people are tied up with this world today, just like PBR said, and don't take time to stop and "think on these things". I use to didn't until things in my life were stripped away and all I had was Jesus and the hope of glory one day. Now that is all I want and need. God will bring about everything else that I need as long as my focus remains on Him.
Stop and take time to get to know Jesus in a whole new way. Find out from Him what heaven is really like. He will show you right here on earth!!
I believe the body of Christ, His Church, is God's curriculum to grow us up. How we handle the many imperfections of life and the people of Christ gives us the opportunity to grow. When we are not "there" we do not participate in God's planned curriculum for us.
